Taisho Era (early 20th Century) reprint of a famous 1833/34 Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige. This is print is part of Hiroshige's famous series The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō. Shown is Shinagawa 品川 in Edo (now Tokyo). The Tōkaidō road linked the capital of Kyoto to Edo and was one of Japan's major arteries in the Edo Era. This reprint was commission by The Mainichi Shimbun newspaper.

Very good condition, slight fraying on parts of the border outside the print.

10.5” wide x 15” tall (27cm x 38cm)

12.8” wide x 17.1” tall (32.5cm x 43.4cm) - FRAME*

*Ships with a basic wood and plastic frame for protection. Simple and elegant but some may want to have a higher-end custom frame made.
