Print - Toyohara Chikanobu
Meiji Era (late 19th Century) first printing by Toyohara Chikanobu, often known by his artist name Yōshū Chikanobu. The bright red pigment is typical of the Meiji Era when such brilliant red ink first became available in Japan.
The main part of the print is in very good condition but the bottom is frayed. Properly framed, this is not noticeable. Because of this defect, this is a very good price for a Meiji Era first printing.
9.6” wide x 14.5” tall (24.25cm x 37cm)
12.8” wide x 17.1” tall (32.5cm x 43.4cm) - FRAME*
*Ships with a basic wood and plastic frame for protection. Simple and elegant but some may want to have a higher-end custom frame made.
